Sock Hoppin'
I got to escort the most adorable chick to a real live 1950's sock hop on Saturday night. Yep, I was T H E M A N!
And I will be until she's a teenager - then I'll just be another asshole trying to keep her down.
But I'll enjoy it while I can.
There must have been about 60 people sock hopping.
You may be able to tell from the picture above that we were sock hoppin' since we were seated in a spiffy 1957 Chevy.
Plus (if that isn't enough of a hint), she's wearing a bitchin' poodle skirt and me and my white t-shirt and motorcycle boots and jacket complete the picture!
We did the Hokey-Pokey, the Bunny Hop and several other things that I still can't believe we did. But it was much fun and a good time was had by all.
Then it was back home to flu central where the other child has had a huge fever for 4 days now. I finally got her to the doctor yesterday and yep, she's got the flu.
Like we couldn't tell.................
Got some Tamiflu - for all the good that will do her.
I'm sure we'll all come down with it eventually - but it is that time of the year!
I went a-cowboy shootin' earlier on Saturday and even though it was wet and cold, it was a very good day.
Why?
Because nobody got shot!
That's how you can tell if it's a good day at the cowboy range. It's always black and white when you've got firearms blazin'.
So here's hoping eveyone's President Day or whatever stupid holiday this is goes well.
Mine's the bomb.
No particular reason except I'm just happy to be alive.
I wish you and yours well.
Peace.

Sunday I told Tina that I would have loved to been there, just sitting in the corner watchintg all the daddies and their little girls dancing. I know Colie Bug loves her some Mr. Keith!! Don't we all!!
My son, Scott, who's playing drums in the Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, actually played a gig at Mt. Vernon on President's Day. How cool is that?! He's the only person I know who actually "celebrated" President's Day. DD
P.S. You and Nicole are definitely rockin'!
how fun is that! sounds like something that'll be a great memory.
plus, there's photo evidence now!
