If "It" Makes You Happy...."It Can't Be That Bad.....
Spent an awesome weekend in Memphis with my wife and a couple of my girlfriends......
Miss Colby Calliet and Miss Sheryl Crow - both apparently looking for men in all the wrong places because they don't have any.
As for me, well, I've got all I can handle so I told them both "no"!
But the concert they put on was quite amazing. We had a blast dancing, singing but not so much fun sweating.
Outdoor amphitheaters sound great, and I'm sure they are in the proper climate, but on an island in the middle of the Mississippi River in August....well, that's just way too damn hot for any fun whatsoever!
But we made it through with the help of much beer and water!
So what if we were "glistening" just a bit when it was over.....
Actually, we had to peel all of our clothes off when we got back to the hotel because we were both just "ringing wet" (as my grandmother used to say!).
And speaking of hotels, we staying in the Madison Hotel in Memphis and it was just amazing! It used to be an old bank and it was 17 stories tall with a outside deck and bar on the very top with an amazing view of the city and the river.
Each floor had maybe 8 rooms on them which made for some extremely personel service that was great in this day and age of cost cutting. We will go back!
We also had fun with my lawyer and my stock broker and their assorted women.
It was just a good trip all around and if you get a chance to see Sheryl Crow on her current tour, I would highly advise it because she is rocking hard for a 48 year old chick!!
Peace

Yadayadayoohoo!
Wow, it seems like it’s been forever since I’ve written here.
I know it hasn’t be F O R E V E R……….but it has been a while.
Sorry.
Sometimes the inspiration is huge and sometimes it’s not even there!
So much has happened since I last wrote that there is not enough inspiration in the world to cover all the shit that has gone on, but I will hit the high points!
We had our reunion of all the classes from the 1970’s. It was so much fun. Both nights included my beautiful wife entertaining the masses.
She gets on to me about me saying things like that but they’re true!
And all of you folks that know her well understand the truth of them as well………
It was just a blast. It was great to see all those people. Even though, many of them I see all the time, it was somehow special in that setting. And of course, there were those folks that I literally hadn’t seen in 35 years there as well. And that was very cool!!
Some folks looked old and some looked just like they did last time I saw them. Some were fat, some were skinny……..It really does take ALL KINDS!!
Anyway, it was a blast, blast, blast!
This past Friday was Bunco for the girls. I went out and then hid in my room until it was over. But whatever happens at those things, I can assure you that a good time was had by all judging from the mess when it was over!!!
Saturday was the Norah Jones concert in New Orleans. It was great! I loved hearing her sing and play. She has one of those sultry voices that is full of gravel and seems to call you out with each song. Just wonderful.
Next weekend is Sheryl Crow. That will be great too. I just know it!
So, here is your lazy blog post. Hope you enjoyed it.
I certainly feel less guilty now!!
Peace.

Epic Burn
It's been 11 days since I've gotten back on my 1400 mile motorcycle trek and my left arm is still burned beyond recognition.
I'm not sure if it will ever get back to normal....whatever that is!
It had been so long since I took off on the road that I had completely forgotten all the important stuff I learned a long time ago when I became an open road adventurer.
But I can assure you that it won't happen again.
I have my handy dandy "oh shit" list tucked away in a safe place for next time.
Now all I have to do is remember where the safe place is.
Peace!
