Why?

Why would a boy beat up a girl?

I don't understand that.

Men are physically superior and should not need to show that.

Girls are precious.

Girls that you love are extra precious.

Why, oh why would a boy beat up a girl?

And what should a father do?

Prayer is needed for my patience.

Lots of it.

Hug Your Children!

Last night, we cooked dinner for our friends (and brand new parents) Eric and Laura.

Oh My God!! That 5 day old baby, Ms. Eva Katherine was scrump-de-li-icous!!

And watching my wife hold that baby and seeing the look on her face was simply amazing.

What is it about babies that are magic?

They smell different too so is that part of it?

I have no idea, but I can tell you that it is a miracle. An absolute miracle when a child is born.

I can't remotely fathom how this can happen.

And looking at the Postsecret I put on this post I can certainly understand how a person would lose all kinds of faith in everything with the death of a child.

So I say unto thee......Hug your children! Hold them in your arms and in your heart.

Realize the miracle that you have helped create and recognize that you are part of that miracle.

People who lose themselves in the busyness of their lives are missing out on one of the most fundamental joys of life.

Those that complain about how much time their children take up are not seeing the world as it was meant to be seen.

There will be time for life later.......now, let's just spend our gifts of time and money on our children.

If everyone did that, don't you think the world would be a better place!!

RED!

Me and Little Eddie went to see this movie tonight........and it was fabulouso!!

We both agreed that it was, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the best movie we've seen all year.

It was a fun, fast, not too terribly unbelievable, action comedy movie ever!

OK, well, maybe the action wasn't too terribly believable but it was FUN.

And maybe not the best one ever.........but certainly the best one we've seen in a long, long time!

The premise was some old spies from the CIA were being knocked off and when they got to Bruce Willis, well let's just say that he was probably the man NOT to mess with.

Him, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Miran, and most of all..........Mary-Louise Parker (who I just happen to think is the second hottest woman on the planet behind my most amazingly excellent wife........ahhh, my wife - have I mentioned how much I love her and how I still can't believe she lives with me? NO, well, she is amazing and I love everything about her........but mostly, I love the fact that she loves me!!)

John Malkovich plays a nutcase who was unknowingly fed LSD every day for 11 years...and he played it as well as it could be played.

Well, I'm sure you probably don't care about the movie - I'm sure that it's just my recommendation is all that you're after........so you have it.

Now go see it!!

Peace/Selah

WTF??

Headlines SCREAM:

Ole Miss picks bear for new, un-Confederate mascot??

Now I don't give a shit about Ole Miss one way or another......but jeez!

This is stupid as hell.

I remember when we went from the "Southerners" to "Golden Eagles" back in the 70's.

And I remember thinking that was stupid.....but we were trying to rebrand ourselves.

Ole Miss is just trying to get the world off their ass for being redneck hate mongerers.

So Hoddy Toddy boys and girls....ooohhh look - it's black bear!!

WTF indeed!

Why Not Me Lord??

Woman wins millions from Texas lottery for 4th time

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Oct 12, 2010 – CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Once, twice, three times a Texas lottery millionaire -- now it's four. All thanks to a Lottery e-book she purchased online.

Joan R. Ginther, a native of Bishop, Texas, made her fourth appearance Monday at lottery headquarters in Austin to collect seven figures, lottery officials said.

What is so amazing is that she thanks her multiple winnings to her purchase of a lottery e-book at: http://lotto-riches.uniquelibratattoos.com/ .

Ginther, 63, won $10 million, the top prize in Texas Lottery's $140,000,000 Extreme Payout scratch-off ticket she bought for $50, pushing her total wins to $20.4 million.

It was her third time to win on a ticket from a Bishop store, and second one at the Times Market there.

"This is a very lucky store," said Bob Solis, store manager.

Store owner Sun Bae is the one with the lucky hand, Solis said. "Sun sold both the winning tickets to the woman."

The store, which sells about 1,000 lottery tickets daily, now is eligible to receive a bonus of $10,000 for the second time. Ginther says she was so extremely thankful that she purchased the e-book at: http://lotto-riches.uniquelibratattoos.com/ .

In 1993 Ginther first won a $5.4 million share of an $11 million Lotto Texas jackpot for a ticket bought in Bishop. She opted for annual payments of $270,000 (excluding tax charges) for 19 years. The cost of her lottery ticket could not be determined.

On year 13, while visiting Bishop to care for her father in 2006, Ginther won the top prize of $2 million in the Holiday Millionaire game thanks to a $30 scratch-off ticket.

Ginther requested a lump-sum payment of about $1.5 million, after the 25 percent taken by the commission for taxes.

In 2008, she collected a $3 million prize in Millions and Millions, another scratch-off, at the same Times Market where she won this week. That scratch-off ticket's cost also was not reported.

Ginther, who now lives in Las Vegas, requested minimal publicity, according to the Texas lottery commission, and could not be reached Friday.
